Mission Accomplished: Mother Randle Completes Historic 1,380-Mile Journey

Mother Lessie Benningfield Randle — 111 years old, the last known living survivor of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre — has safely returned home to Tulsa after completing a historic five-day, approximately 1,380-mile round-trip RV journey to the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, Illinois. Organized by Dr. Larry Love, the journey fulfilled a personal promise he made to Mother Randle after she expressed her wish to visit. The traveling party of eight departed October 8 and returned October 12, 2026. Larry Love University is now pursuing Guinness World Records recognition across three categories.

LLU Announces Historic Trip to Chicago for Mother Randle

Larry Love University announced a special commemorative trip to Chicago in honor of Mother Lessie Benningfield Randle — a beloved centenarian, community pillar, and one of the last known survivors of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. The journey celebrated her legacy of resilience, faith, and triumph, and reflected LLU's commitment to honoring those who shaped our community. The journey was completed successfully in October 2026.
