Honoring Mother
Lessie Benningfield
Randle
111 Years Old · Last Living Survivor of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre
Mother Randle completed a historic 1,380-mile round-trip RV journey from Tulsa, Oklahoma to the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago — and returned safely home on October 12, 2026. The journey was personally organized by Dr. Larry Love, fulfilling a promise he made to her after she asked him to take her.
The five-day journey (October 8–12) was made by a traveling party of eight. On October 10, Mother Randle entered the Obama Presidential Center using priority passes secured by Dr. Love — a living witness to the destruction of Black Wall Street walking through a monument to America's first Black president.
